The new RMP, Office of the Bishop form and synod portal will launch Jan. 11. Current RMPs will no longer be accessible to rostered ministers after Jan. 10.
You told us the Rostered Minister Profile (RMP) and call process portal needed work, and we heard you. Based on feedback from synod staff and rostered ministers across our church, we’ve made much-needed updates to key parts of the call process portal: the RMP, Office of the Bishop form and synod portal.
If you missed our first email on Oct. 13 or would like a refresher on the project overview and timeline, you can access it here.
Actions needed before Jan. 11
All rostered ministers who need or want a PDF of their current RMP must log in to ELCA Community and download the file before Jan. 11. If you don’t know your login information, email ConstituentCare@ELCA.org.
Rostered ministers and first call candidates entering a call process:
Before Jan. 11: Complete the current RMP. Otherwise, wait until after launch to use the new RMP.
After Jan. 11: Use the new RMP.
What’s different and what’s improved
The RMP questions and content have been updated. There are now fewer sections to navigate and enhanced flexibility to highlight different skills and areas of strength.
The new RMP makes it easier to track progress, save your work and see exactly what you’ve submitted when you complete your forms.
View your forms online without having to download separate PDFs.
Not quite ready to submit? No problem — you can save your progress and come back later to finish.
To enhance protection of sensitive information, we’re shifting from a short- and long-form RMP to an RMP and Office of the Bishop form. The Office of the Bishop form will contain the needed disclosures and other pastoral information from rostered ministers to synod staff. This change better protects rostered ministers’ privacy.
We’ll be sharing resources for navigating the new RMP and portal next month, including training webinars, video recordings and FAQs. Thank you for your support, and please email sec@elca.org with any questions that arise in the meantime.
In Christ,
The Call Process Project Team
